We are almost at the end of the season but still a few more club races to look forward to - 

  • Club races - one Thursday and three Sundays left in the Fall series - looking for a Race Officer for September 30 - let me know if you want to earn some hours for this
  • Sailing Committee Survey - We are looking for the members input in helping to plan next year - a short survey has been prepared - please spend 5 minutes completing the survey -  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/8ZRJFBJ
  • A few of us have been using the RaceQS app - see http://raceqs.com- it is a very useful tool to analyze your performance and where you can improve - looking to try this out more next year. If you want an more details Dave Tebbit is the one to ask!

The clean storage bay had members out there spacing up their bays and the judging is underway, with the winners being announced at the Moe Fraser. A quick tidy up this weekend or over the next couple days may be enough to get you one of these prices. Some of judges still need to make their walk around.

•        a 76” x 46”, inflatable rubber dingy
•        a 76” x 35” inflatable chaise lounge
•        an electric air pump 
•        two telescopic paddles

Thanks to the great organizational skills of Sarah and Arturo the Latin American Evening was a great success. Our members were treated to the delicacies of Cucina Latina and learned the steps to salsa.

The committee boat "try out" session Saturday August 11 has been CANCELLED

You need to do this session in order to drive the safety boats. Members (senior or crew) need to have participated in the trial session to learn the basics of operating the boats.

You must have your PCOC card (Pleasure Craft Operators card) to operate a powerboat in Canada.

SAFETY BOAT VOLUNTEERS

Anyone with experience on the safety book looking to help please let me know your availability. You must have your PCOC and received club training on how to safely launch and operate the MSC Committee Zodiac boat.
